Spring Wellness for Your Dog

What the treatment involves, how long it takes, and what your dog gets out of it.

Service Overview

Our Full-Service Grooming includes everything your pet needs to look, feel, and smell their best. Whether it’s your pup’s first spa day or a routine visit, our trained groomers provide gentle care in a calm, clean environment. We tailor every session to your pet’s breed, coat type, and personality.

With spring upon us, we’re entering the season of renewal. Longer days, fresh air, and more time outside are a welcome change from the chilly winter months. Spring brings more opportunities for your dog to stretch their legs, explore, and enjoy new adventures. But as the seasons change, so do their wellness needs.

Whether it is stiff joints or seasonal shedding, slight adjustments may help keep your dog feeling their best. Take a moment to read through these veterinarian-recommended tips to help support your dog as we enter springtime..

More movement means more strain on your dog’s joints. Talk to your veterinarian for help in creating a plan to support their joint health. Things like weight management, regular exercise, and mobility aids such as ramps or carpets on slippery floors can be helpful depending on the age of the dog.

Frequently Asked Questions

With proper pet grooming, you can get rid of shedding, ticks, fleas and various unhealthy conditions of your pet. Grooming also gives a cute, healthy look to your pet.

It is important to have your puppy groomed as soon as possible, so that they get used to it and learn to love the grooming experience. We recommend they come in two weeks after the last set of vaccinations.

The approximate time for each treatment is listed on our services page. The time depends on the breed, the nature of the pet and the length of the hair. Small breeds usually take around 2.5 hours; big breeds may take 2 to 3 hours.

Grooming charges depend on the breed, whether the coat is short or long, and how cooperative your pet is. We prefer to quote the charges based on the time it takes, as a minimum and maximum range.

They are on the higher side, and that reflects the time spent on each session. We handle many different breeds and temperaments. Some pets are new to grooming, or aggressive, hyperactive or uncooperative by nature, and we train them and spend time helping them enjoy it before we begin. We charge with all of that in mind.

Please book an appointment through our website or by calling us. We allow walk-ins only when a slot is free to treat your pet straight away; if we are already with another pet, yours would have to wait. We do not stack appointments up — we prefer to do one at a time — so we recommend booking in advance.

At Woof Magic Spa the grooming area and the visitor area are partitioned with a glass door, so pet owners can see the whole process from the visitor area. Owners may be allowed into the grooming area for a short while to settle their pet before we start. We ask pet parents to keep the environment calm during grooming, so that neither the pets nor the groomers are distracted.

We do not suggest leaving your pet with us longer than necessary — they can become stressed, and it is not good for them to be on the table for a long time. Our practice is to call and let you know fifteen minutes before your pet is ready.

If for any reason you are not happy with the service we provided, please tell us within two business days and we will do our best to put it right. Our customers' satisfaction matters to us and we take great pride in our work.

Spring is full of fresh starts, for both you and your dog. A few small adjustments, like adding joint and skin and coat support, can help support your dog during this season.

“Although expert groomers themselves, lots of cats like being brushed and it’s a great way of bonding with your cat. As well as fewer hairballs and less shedding, grooming your cats will imitate how they groom each other naturally and for you as a result.”
